To qualify for the NATA 2026 examination and gain admission to a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program, you must meet specific academic requirements and understand the dual-section exam format.

1. Eligibility Criteria (2026)

The Council of Architecture (CoA) has simplified the entry requirements for 2026:

  • Educational Qualification: You must have passed or be appearing for your 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination.
  • Mandatory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory. While Chemistry is often required for final college admission, for NATA registration, you can have any one other approved subject (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or Business Studies).
  • Minimum Marks: You need at least 45% aggregate marks in your qualifying exam (10+2 or 10+3 Diploma).
  • Diploma Route: Candidates with a 10+3 Diploma in any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and 45% aggregate are also eligible.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam.

2. Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The exam is a 3-hour hybrid test (total 200 marks) divided into two parts:
