29 January 2019: Serendipity Arts Foundation and MOJARTO in collaboration with NDTV presents the 2nd Art Spectrum Awards: South Asia (ASA:SA) on 2 February 2019.

The ASA:SA award aims to reward and encourage creative, transformational initiatives that are making tangible differences to the future of the arts in South Asia promoting growth and via a platform for the arts that supports and leads the interdisciplinary artistic movement in India.

The awards reflect the Serendipity Arts Foundation's commitment and continual support of arts development in India. Elaborating further Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Founder and Chairman, Serendipity Arts Foundation said, “The Serendipity Arts Foundation is committed to creating sustainability in the Arts and spread awareness of the rich cultural heritage of India by making art and culture and our outreach platforms as inclusive as possible. To realize this commitment the process of recognition plays a great role and adds impetus to the efforts of these brilliant and young artists across various disciples. The Arts Spectrum Awards: South Asia has been conceptualized to do just that and recognize work of progressive and unique artistic caliber. Honouring individuals for their unique aesthetic and artistic contributions to the cultural landscape, nominees and winners are selected by an eminent panel of artists, collectors, cultural policy makers, arts institutions, arts patrons and disciplinary specialists. The award aims to cultivate India’s artistic development and cultural evolution by highlighting the most significant and innovative projects over the previous year’s art calendar, with an emphasis on organisations and individuals that driving social and public engagement across disciplines.

Prominent thespian and esteemed jury member Mr. Feisal Alkazi said, “We are in that point in history where regional boundaries are blurring with our ability to transcend the cultural barriers. South Asia in particular as a region has had a similar cultural mosaic with synchronized sensibilities and this should be unified for attaining long standing relationships and sustainable practices. ASA:SA in that sense plays the role of a quintessential unifier that is taking baby steps in weaving together the cultural ethos of the region.”

With the objective of supporting and encouraging creative dialogue across disciplines, the awards include special categories for theatre and the culinary arts. NID DAT 2019 Exam Analysis

Objective Part ( GK, maths, English, Visual / aptitude)- According to NID DAT 2019 analysis, the objective part which was multiple choice questions consists of 22 questions and the total marks allotted for the same was 30. The questions this time were based on general knowledge, textile and reasoning, which was of an easier level.

Drawing Part - The subjective part, which was drawing section wherein students were given blank spaces where they had to make their drawings.

The drawing section was based on perspective questions and the types of questions asked were as follows:

3	Design a circular stamp commemorating the 160^th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Colour your composition.
4	Draw a man or a woman sitting on a table and in front of them there is a spoon, a fork and a plate.
5	Draw to depict that all that is gold does not glitter in a realistic manner (real life situation) and write a five lines on it.
6	Draw a fork and a spoon that have been brought together at the handle.

NID DAT 2019 Exam Analysis - Questions asked in the Exam

As per NID DAT exam analysis, the NID DAT 2019 entrance exam was divided into two part - Part I and Part II. Part I and part II comprised objective and subjective types questions, respectively. Part I comprised 22 questions while part II consisted of 4 questions.

MCQ - (15-22) were visual aptitude, picture and pattern-based questions and were awarded 2 marks.

Part II- Subject/drawing questions

24. Draw a real-life situation of "all that is gold does not glitter" with 5 lines of interpretation (20 marks)

More Than Enough

The idea of KKMJ is to organise a series of first of its kind fashion shows to boost the morale of those sections of our society who are not financially or physically sound, by way of bringing them on the ramp to showcase their hidden talent to walk with a sense of confidence and dignity.

Our concept is that fashion is not meant for upper class or well-to-do section of the society only. It’s for all—and our mission is to change the thought of difference between the rich and the poor, able and disabled. To bring in harmony in their minds, it becomes our duty to encourage and train them to come up and keep stepping forward together. And this is the need of the hour.

KKMJ presents its maiden fashion show of the series, in association with Rhythm of Life powered by Selfie With Daughter, London School of Trends, Panache ENTERTAINMENT, DG Concept, and Creative Sciences, on 23rd December, 2018 (Sunday) at 3 PM at DLF PLACE, Saket, New Delhi.

Aaina by Aditi—an online startup fashion brand—being the event’s fashion partner also, has designed outfits for the children of the NGO performing in the event and also guided the mothers of these kids in making the outfits ready for the show.

Rhythm of Life—an NGO, which works with and for the children from underprivileged backgrounds with the aim of nurturing them into confident independent adults.

Selfie With Daughter is a Mobile App and a worldwide movement initiated by Shri Sunil Jaglan against female and sex selection.

London School of Trends which is one of the leading fashion institutes of Delhi, have kindly consented to spare their students, the budding designers, to volunteer for backstage preparations and providing their innovative ideas for this event. Thanks to these guys for being instrumental in making the costumes out of waste fabrics by beautifully bringing rags to ramp.

Panache Entertainment is a trusted name in the event management industry and is specialised in making the clients’ dreams, fantasies and desires into reality. The team of Panache behind the decor of the event, have added stars to the stage.

Creative Sciences is a trusted name in imparting quality education in the Architecture and Design Careers Field. Its students are volunteering for the backstage decor with enthusiasm. The talented creative writers will be covering the event for various blogs and other print media.
